CSRS Participates in Dallas Heart Walk, Wins Design Contest

CSRS participated in the Dallas Heart Walk held at the base of reunion of tower in Downtown Dallas, TX. In addition to rallying alongside the DFW community to walk to promote heart disease awareness, our team's Heart Walk design was selected as the winner of the AHA's t-shirt theme contest! Our design was selected and embodied the essence and theme of this year's Heart Walk. Today, we accepted the award and participated in the walk!

The Dallas Heart Walk is the largest in the country. Last year, more than 60,000 people helped raise about $5.5 million. This free event is essential in so many ways:

• It raises money for the American Heart Association, funding research at UT Southwestern and other institutions that will ultimately help people prevent heart disease and stroke and live better lives.

• It raises money the American Heart Association can use to promote wellness initiatives and programs for heart disease and stroke survivors.

• It reminds people about the importance of fighting heart disease and honors those who have lost their battle against the disease.

• It empowers people to do something about the disease that kills more Americans each year than any other.
