Dallas College North Lake Campus Construction Sciences Building

CSRS was hired in June 2018 to manage the new North Lake Campus Construction Sciences Building. The 97,000 square foot facility will be located on the North Lake Campus – North Campus at Highway 121 and Sandy Lake, Road. Our Dallas Team works closely with Dallas College and the North Lake Campus Administration to coordinate design and construction tasks.

Pre-Construction

Prepare preliminary construction cost estimates. Provide alternative cost evaluations. Review design documents for quality control and advise on proposed site use and improvements, material selections, building systems and equipment, and project delivery methods.

Construction Administration

Construction contract administration including research, meetings, coordination of all prime construction contracts. Manage agency review for code compliance. Collect and review project data. Field inspections, coordinate testing, review drawings and specifications. Monitor schedule and budget.

Post-Construction Services

Review documentation for occupancy readiness. Work with College to establish operations and maintenance program. Initial occupancy on-site observation and assistance. Warranty review and post-construction evaluation. Manage project closeout.

The project team has been responsible for the management of the design and construction process. We have been designated as the Owner’s Representative and have integrated our personnel with the Dallas College family.

Our team was brought onboard the North Lake Campus Construction Sciences Building well after the start of design. Past experience managing Program’s for Dr. Joe May, allowed us to provide recommendations and insight for the inclusion of in-kind donations. We have interfaced with internal and external stakeholders in an effort to ensure all donations have been reviewed for technical conformance with Dallas College Facilities Management Design Guidelines. Our coordination included reporting to Mr. John Robertson and coordination with the North Lake Campus Administration, Dallas College General Counsel, Dallas College Business Affairs Department, Dallas College Purchasing Department, Dallas College Facility Managers, and the Dallas College Foundation. In addition, we also worked with the Construction Education Foundation, Beck Architects, and Joeris Construction to confirm the timeline for delivery of donations.
